The idea
We wanted to make gardening approachable at home. Our vertical herb gardens paired a planter and growing supplies with instructions and recipes, connecting a physical product to a simple idea: spend more time growing and cooking as a family.
The work
Our Instagram tells the story of building boards, learning from GlenOak’s horticulture program, and meeting customers at Hartville Marketplace and the Akron Home & Garden Show. I worked on investor presentations, sales, and our company report. We also took the mission into local classrooms.
The takeaway
The school outreach gave our product a role beyond sales. We also learned a practical supply chain lesson: selling out at some events, then holding excess stock later, made inventory planning and production timing real business decisions.
